This site will change in 2023. The virtual tour of the Texas Capital is the most visited page. I assume teachers are using this with their classes. If you would like me to keep this tour available on the new site please send me an email telling me who you are and how you use this page. If I don't get many request this tour will no longer be available, or may move to a paid option.

After the 1983 fire in the Capitol, building restoration throughout the 1990s identified spaces in the Capitol based on their historical and architectural significance. Preservationists returned these key areas to their 1888-1915 appearance with original or reproduction furniture as well as artwork and decorative elements. These significant spaces showcase the grandeur of the Capitol while remaining functional spaces for contemporary state government.
